Despite being just 18 years old, young London beatmaker Zulu is already garnering the attention of all the right people. He has quickly picked up support for his heavily percussive productions, amalgamating African rhythms and timbres with the sounds of a burgeoning UK underground.
Following a release on Toddla T‘s Girl Music label and the standout ‘Needs To Be Said’ EP on Rinse FM DJ Monki‘s new Zoo Music imprint in collaboration with Toyc, he has just dropped a three track solo EP for the Portugese Enchufada label. The three-track ‘The I.N.C.L.E.H‘ EP showcases a deeper but no less powerful side to his productions honing in on unshakeably infectious tribal grooves, heavy subs and masterful splashes of colour throughout the EP, and is sure to propel him into the wider consciousness – Check the EP here. Zulu is definitely a name to watch!
In the wake of the EP we have got an exclusive 30-min mix from the man himself.
