The 18th release on the constantly on point Swamp81 label. This time we have Mickey Pearce delivers a slick dancefloor 12″ with unforgettable vocal samples “you remember I was telling you about progression”, ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Get’ is a firm favourite with all the big DJs at the moment and ‘I am’ continues the industrial steel drum sound palette, and high pitched scream vocal sample to great effect!
Dope upfront 808 bizness from Mike G. This is due out next week on the insanely prolific and always on point Car Crash Setlabel. ‘Throw Back‘ is the one!
Murder in the streets
They heard you calling
The deepest shade of orange
Lifted your face
Welcome the heavens
The night comes as slow as your own perception
There is no race to the end because everything ends
Your move creep
Creep slow, falling low
Slain by the eternal weapon
Sometimes I feel like it’s just us, you and I, me and you
Together as one
Against a giant LED screen projecting your apparition
You will always remain eternal, forever you
Deep within lies the answer to your existence
What would we do if we only knew
Would we destroy ourselves, others
Would we make love with everything and everyone
Could we enjoy every single second
Should we slow down life to a single waking moment
Would we embrace the dark sky above
So massive that nothing escapes
Would we march to our own theme
Stop, don’t think
Cherish your last breath
This is it
Forgotten by history
Your name was never written in the wind
Is that breeze real?
After all, we’re merely projections of the minds eye
A pixelated haze of questions with no answers
An end with no beginning
Are you the creator? The devastating creator?
Murder in the streets
Originally planned for the third of Objekt’s white labels hand stamped series, this was quickly snapped up by his friends, Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea. This track is essential!
‘Cactus’ also appeared on Ben UFO’s Rinse FM mix CD, in the autumn of 2011.

Following their killer ‘Red Mask/Ovale‘ 12″ for Numbers at the tail-end of last year, they return with another great two-track EP, this time for Brighton-based label 877 Records. Judging on the quality of this, they are set to have a strong 2012…Listen below:
We got sent these two excellent mixes from Pearsall a while back. If you want to check out more of his mixes, as well as download versions of the two we are streaming below, head over to his blog Sonic Rampage.
Yeti persuaded Barely Legal to send us in a blazing mix of top tracks and future hits and what we got back fell nothing short of what we asked. Tonight sees a massive line-up from the Redux crew hit Hidden as part of the always on point FOUND event series. As you would expect, all the biggest hitters in the Bass and Grime scenes will be there including our boy Crypt. To get you warmed up for tonight’s party he has recorded the mix below. This event is guaranteed to be a roadblock so we highly recommend you cop a ticket now, from somewhere like here.
Visionist (92 Points / NTS / 502 / Keysound / Left_Blank / Diskotopia) is one of my favourite producers right now. Check out this new one called Tropics which is being released in January next year as part of a new compilation curated by Diskotopia, Tokyo-based record label run by BD1982 and his crew.
Canadian production duoSibian & Faun breathe new life into one of 2011′s most prevalent musical trends with ‘I’m Sorry‘. Twisted RnB done right. Numbers finishing the year in typically fine form.
R1 Ryders are back with a four track dancefloor smasher, encompassing their unique Funkitek sound. All Nite is the standout track for me on this release. R1 always put the work in on their DJ sets, so if you want to get down and see them live, which we highly recommended, the EP launch party is 20th November at The Nest, Dalston – Free entry all night.
Reggae Roast returns to The CAMP Basement for another night of quality roots & culture, welcoming special guests, Channel One Sound System. Mikey Dread & Ras Kayleb will be passing through for an exclusive 2-hour set, testing the limits of the blistering 20k sound system, sending bass rumblings across the streets of East London. This is not to be missed!
Channel One should need no introduction, having been one of the UKs leading sounds for 30 golden years. Last year they earned themselves the title of ‘Champions of the Redbull Culture Clash’, seeing off competition from the likes of Skream & Benga, Mettalheadz & Soul Jazz Records, officially making them the leaders of sound system culture in the UK.
They return after an uplifting set at the Reggae Roast new years eve party for another lesson in the power of bass, drums and steppers riddims. Controller Mikey Dread will be dropping his legendary selection of conscious records spanning 5 decades. Ras Kayleb supplies lyrical chants, commanding the audience and elevating the energy in the CAMP basement.
