It’s probably about time we did a post on the incredible Found series made up of 13 electronic music nights in London. Found has managed to lockdown some of London’s best people and put them all under one awesomely well designed banner.
The line ups are too big, and often too awesome, to explain in the mere form of language. So instead, here are the flyers of the events I have been most excited about (this is an understatement, I have been in a nervous frenzy).
First to mention was the Heritage night which was awesome..
Then there’s this, Butterz this Friday at Hidden.. Bamm!
And finally (this one’s big) we have our freinds’, Audio Donuts’ 1st Birthday.
And they have booked our friend, M.I.K, repping the GET SOME family.
And finally, our friend Crypt is repping GET SOME on Friday 9th December right hurr..
Friends, this is just a sample, head yourself over to http://www.facebook.com/foundseries to stay in the loop for all the other nights.
Trim has teamed up with TRC and Butterz to put out I AM on digital and vinyl. It’s a really strong release, backed up with a Preditah remix and Notice Now, produced by D.O.K. Release date is set for 15th August 2011.
Budding producers can download the remix stems from here.
Producer Royal T will no doubt be setting the grime scene alight in 2011!
And he won’t just be a presence on people’s iPods; most of his tunes will work just as well in parties – so expect to be hearing a lot of his production when you’re out over the next year..
You might remember his beat 1up vocalled by P Money, or Beatfighter vocalled by Lil Nasty back on the very large DTA Grimetape (which was a free release, right here)
TRC – Oo Aa Ee (Royal T Remix)
Wiley – Its Wiley (Royal T Remix)
Yasmin – On My Own (Royal T Remix)
S-X – Woooo Riddim (Royal T Remix)
Royal T – Orangeade VIP
We got the interview Fact got the mix. So, read this then go cop Fact 135.
Who are you and what do you do?
I am Elijah I enjoy roller skating and Grime. I DJ on Rinse FM with my twin Skilliam
Where are you from and where are now?
I am from East London, and I still live in East London, but I get around.
When did you first get involved with music and what were you doing?
I started DJing 2 years ago, Grime Grime Grime and will never DJ anything else!
First record you bought? Last record you bought?
When I first started buying records I probably was buying a few at one time, I used to pick up stuff from Aftershock and Dumpvalve labels! Most of the stuff on both of those are classics!
What is your most memorable moment in music?
We have had loads of classic moments but a personal favourite for me is seeing the records we start playing and supporting coming out and then being played everywhere makes me proud.
Where do you get you inspiration from?
DJ wise, Logan Sama and Plastician but motivation to do it is because of the great producers and artists in the scene that get over looked by many!
What’s next for you/your label?
We have Terror Danjah Bipolar out now, and Quality Street out next which is a compilation with Terror Danjah/Silencer/SRC and Royal T on, then we have remixes of Air Bubble coming out as 003. A lot of work to put in!
If your career in music never was, what would you be doing now?
Dead office job, probably have loads more money and go to sleep at reasonable times, but a lot less fun.
Who should we be watching in 2010?
Swindle, Terror Danjah, SRC
And finally, please complete the following sentence…
GET SOME… Pussy
