Yo yo, Matt here, newest recruit to the GET SOME camp. I’ve retired my blog REAL BAD and I’m taking up permanent residence here. Expect plenty of mixes, tracks and news as well as a few excluuusives here and there.
So, for my first post, here’s two mixes that have been in my headphones over the past couple of days.
Greena for XLR8R
Having headlined GET SOME 002, and providing a mix especially for us, Greena starts off 2010 with a mix for XLR8R. As ever, its a flawless blend of UKF, house, 2-step and everything in between. Plenty of exclusives and tracks from producers such as Geeneus, Terror Danjah, Omar S, Apple and Mosca. Don’t sleep on this one!
Kyle Hall for Fabric
If you don’t already know about Kyle Hall, then get to know! He might only just be out of highschool but already he’s wowed Detroit house fans the world over, not to mention heavyweight Omar S. His productions on his own label ‘Wild Oats‘ inhabit a grey area between house music and hip hop, and each one of his mixes is more accompished that the last. This mix for Fabric ahead of his first UK appearance on Saturday 23rd is an effortless showcase of the best that Detroit has to offer. Oh, and he recently remixed Darkstar’s ‘Aidy’s Girl Is A Computer’.
As the year draws to a close, and the dust settles on Friday, we thought we would post up the pics of another great night! If you see yourself, please comment. Thanks to everyone who came, and to EXEL, ISHU, GREENA, DARK ARX, SSG, and everyone else involved. So, we hope all of you have a great X–Mas, and NYE, and we’ll see you in 2010…
