Posted by BRETT

A line up this big, for free, doesn’t come along too often, so you’d be bat shit stupid to miss it. The launch party for Mr Danjah’s new Hyperdub released album ‘Undeniable’ kicks off 10pm at The East Village, Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch tomorrow, that’s Wednesday the 10th of November. Did I mention how big the line-up is? See you there. Bring your best bass face.

ELIJAH INTERVIEW

Posted by JASSET

We got the interview Fact got the mix. So, read this then go cop Fact 135.

Who are you and what do you do?

I am Elijah I enjoy roller skating and Grime. I DJ on Rinse FM with my twin Skilliam

Where are you from and where are now?

I am from East London, and I still live in East London, but I get around.

When did you first get involved with music and what were you doing?

I started DJing 2 years ago, Grime Grime Grime and will never DJ anything else!

First record you bought? Last record you bought?

When I first started buying records I probably was buying a few at one time, I used to pick up stuff from Aftershock and Dumpvalve labels! Most of the stuff on both of those are classics!

What is your most memorable moment in music?

We have had loads of classic moments but a personal favourite for me is seeing the records we start playing and supporting coming out and then being played everywhere makes me proud.

Where do you get you inspiration from?

DJ wise, Logan Sama and Plastician but motivation to do it is because of the great producers and artists in the scene that get over looked by many!

What’s next for you/your label?

We have Terror Danjah Bipolar out now, and Quality Street out next which is a compilation with Terror Danjah/Silencer/SRC and Royal T on, then we have remixes of Air Bubble coming out as 003. A lot of work to put in!

If your career in music never was, what would you be doing now?

Dead office job, probably have loads more money and go to sleep at reasonable times, but a lot less fun.

Who should we be watching in 2010?

Swindle, Terror Danjah, SRC

And finally, please complete the following sentence…

GET SOME… Pussy

Check out their blog here for all the latest mixes and news before catching them at GET SOME.

SUNDAY MORNING TELLY

Posted by JASSET

The sun is out, it’s still pretty brisk outside but if Spring’s not here yet; it’s certainly round the corner. We’ve been quite heavy on the video front lately but this stuff has been too good to leave out. Here’s a little bit more…

First up Ace Norton‘s video for Darwin Deez’s Radar Detector. Man, I wish I could grow a moustache like that.

Next up, OK GO’s promo for This Too Shall Pass, directed by James Frost. When the video first starts, I’ll admit I was like ‘Oh, one of these… Meh.’ But that cynicism quickly vanished and by halfway through I was shouting louder with every transition. AMAZING WORK!

A few weeks back we featured Adam Powell‘s promo for Giggs’ forthcoming track, Don’t Go There. Here is another beautifully shot video for long-time collaborator Jamie T’s track, Emily’s Heart.

Finally, Elijah & Skilliam‘s latest vlog entry. Check Swindle’s piano skills! Catch E&S playing at GETSOME003 on April 17.

On the 17th April, Get Some returns home to the The Gramaphone with a card stacked full of talent.

Tipped by Fact Magazine as one of their producers to watch for 2010, Mosca (www.myspace.com/deejaymosca) is leaving no stone unturned this year. When not working on Bruk Magazine (www.brukmagazine.wordpress.com) with Unknown Soulja, or promoting their club night U Dun Know, he’s busy in the lab cooking up beats. Super fresh production, genre smashing club music. Square One is out now on Night Slugs.

With remixes under their belts for Hot Chip  and Gorillaz, a pioneering 3D rave night, a radio show and a record label, Dancing Robot  (http://www.dancingrobotmusic.co.uk) look set to stop at nothing but world domination. Their live shows are pure hype and the lads’ sets at packed out Coronet and Koko are sights to behold.

Badboy Rinse FM DJ’s Elijah and Skilliam have been rocking out shows across Europe with the toughest grime and dubstep sets. It can’t be overstated how much they do for the scene with their Butterz blog (http://verybutterz.blogspot.com/) pushing the sound far and wide. And with a record label on the way, the levels continues to be kept high. Dubplate pressure not to be missed.

As per, resident Get Some selectors will keep you niced up all night with the right blend of old and new. Stick it in your diary.

5 POUND ALL NIGHT
