On Monday 13th February Ninja Tune is set to release a re-worked version of Bonobo‘s 2010 album Black Sands, featuring an impressive army of producers on remix duties including Lapalux, Floating Points, Mark Pritchard, Blue Daisy and more – full info on the release here. Brooklyn-based producer Machinedrum has remixed ‘Eyesdown‘, setting ghostly vocals against hyperactive, skittering percussion…and it’s dope as fuck. Listen here:

Check out this tough number from man like Bobby Champs, one for the techno heads. The up and coming producer makes straight-up dancefloor tracks that have already gained support from the likes of Mosca, Pangaea, Jackmaster and Objekt. Sonic Router has launched a record label “after receiving the sort of demo that makes you want to start a record label”, and here we have a taster of the label’s first release. SRR001 is a 6-track EP from 18 year old Dutch beat-maker Torus – fans of Shlohmo, Shigeto, Lapalux etc are sure to dig this collection of spaced out, “hazy, crackly hangover music’.

The Torus EP will be released in March on limited edition cassette tape, as well as a digital release with Dynoo and Slugabed on remix duties. If you like what you hear, make sure you catch the kid’s UK debut in Brighton where he’s supporting Shlohmo and Salva on their European tour (details here).

From Essex to Cali- young talent Lapalux has unleashed a sampler of his forthcoming EP “When You’re Gone” to be released on Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder label. The highly anticipated 7-track EP, packed full of warped and soulful electronic beats, dusty clicks & clacks, sweeping synthwork, and dreamy vocals (including those of singer Py who has previously collaborated with man like Throwing Snow), is out on 7th February. I can’t wait to get lost in the full EP. Listen to the taster here:

London-based producer Pedestrian has remixed ‘Daddy’ by talented songstress Emeli Sande, twisting the original with his dusty dancefloor vibe. Fans of Gang Colours and Ifan Dafydd should keep an eye on this guy.

Kuedo‘s album ‘Severant’ has been featured in pretty much every notable end of year list, and rightly so. This Friday 11th November Tempo Clash is throwing a party in London to mark the launch of its new collective of resident DJs, consisting of producers Kutmah, Om Unit, Blue Daisy, Kidkanevil and Offshore. Hot Damn!

The night is taking place at Islington Metal Works and all of the new residents will be playing alongside headliner Illum Sphere (Hoya Hoya), fresh from his set at the Boiler Room‘s Radiohead Takeover (if you missed that, check it out here.)

Room 2 will be hosted by promoters and DJs including Pipedown, Naive Machine and Streets of Beige.
