Skepta has teamed up with US mixtape host, DJ Whoo Kid (who did a simliar thing with Giggs earlier in the year.) The mixtape, entitled Community Payback, is available for FREE DOWNLOAD from Skepta’s website. The mixtape has features from P Money, Boy Better Know, Blade Brown and Youngs Teflon as well as production from the likes of Teddy and Rude Kid. Whoo Kid is rumoured to working with Wretch 32 and Klashnekoff to generate them more exposure in the US market.

START IT UP [UK RMX DIRTY]

My favourite track from Giggs’ album Let Em Ave It has received the video treatment. A slickly shot number starring Idris Elba, who some of you may recognise as ‘Stringer’ from The Wire.

Giggs divides opinion, but love him or hate him, he is relevant and is lyrically on point. Something about his voice just makes you stop and take notice. Here is the video, directed by Adam Powell (one to watch for sure), to his forthcoming single Don’t Go There. The single is signed to XL and due for release by the end of the month. The video was shot in both Peckham and Atlanta, the artists’ home-towns. It reminds me a little a bit of the 99 Problems video.
