GET SOME 003

Posted by OUZO

We are back and hitting Gramaphone for the first time in 2010. Check it out:

GET SOME

17TH APRIL 2010
2100 – 0330

THE GRAMAPHONE
60-62 COMMERCIAL ST
LONDON, E1 6LT

MOSCA
DANCING ROBOT MUSIC
ELIJAH & SKILLIAM
DARK ARX
PRINCESS OF WALES
SSG
WHISKEY + OUZO

On the 17th April, Get Some returns home to the The Gramaphone with a card stacked full of talent.

Tipped by Fact Magazine as one of their producers to watch for 2010, Mosca (www.myspace.com/deejaymosca) is leaving no stone unturned this year. When not working on Bruk Magazine (www.brukmagazine.wordpress.com) with Unknown Soulja, or promoting their club night U Dun Know, he’s busy in the lab cooking up beats. Super fresh production, genre smashing club music. Square One is out now on Night Slugs.

With remixes under their belts for Hot Chip  and Gorillaz, a pioneering 3D rave night, a radio show and a record label, Dancing Robot  (http://www.dancingrobotmusic.co.uk) look set to stop at nothing but world domination. Their live shows are pure hype and the lads’ sets at packed out Coronet and Koko are sights to behold.

Badboy Rinse FM DJ’s Elijah and Skilliam have been rocking out shows across Europe with the toughest grime and dubstep sets. It can’t be overstated how much they do for the scene with their Butterz blog (http://verybutterz.blogspot.com/) pushing the sound far and wide. And with a record label on the way, the levels continues to be kept high. Dubplate pressure not to be missed.

As per, resident Get Some selectors will keep you niced up all night with the right blend of old and new. Stick it in your diary.

5 POUND ALL NIGHT

The event takes place at the infamous 1200 capacity Den & Centro (formerly The End) in central London on the 20th January.

All proceeds will go to Ctrl.Alt.Shift (a Christian Aid initiative) partners in Haiti where hundreds of thousands of people are already feared dead and many more are believed to be critically injured. Countless are homeless. The five partner groups are are targeting areas that are getting little help from other agencies. They hope to provide food, tents, hygiene kits, blankets, jerry cans for water, water purifiers and medical support.

    'TIS THE SEASON TO PARTY

    Posted by JASSET

We are well and truly in the thick of the party season. Pubs, clubs, warehouses and offices are all getting in on the action. With everyone bursting at the seams to tell you HOW GOOD their night is going to be, it can get a little overwhelming. I’m sure the scene is similar up and down the country but ravers in London are lucky enough to have a site like INFORMED LONDON to give them an honest and impartial selection of what’s on offer. Whether it’s a Boxing Day bash or a NYE 24-hour marathon sesh for you and your mates, they’ve got the answer.

There guys know their stuff, after all they featured us twice! So what are you waiting for? Get on their and get involved…

I’m off to GET SOME long-johns, haven’t you seen it’s snowing outside!!?
