London-based producer Pedestrian has remixed ‘Daddy’ by talented songstress Emeli Sande, twisting the original with his dusty dancefloor vibe. Fans of Gang Colours and Ifan Dafydd should keep an eye on this guy.
Palace, aka Sam Walker, has given away his remix of a Destiny’s Child classic ‘Say My Name’ via his soundcloud; and I seriously recommend you grab it! He has already released two tracks ‘Armageddon’ and ‘Mandy’ on Unknown To The Unknown and is definitely one to watch for 2012.
Sumblime Caribou remix of Junior Boys latest track, You’ll Improve Me. The original is completely stripped down and reworked into this eight and a half minute trip through house, techno and electronica. Out now on Domino Records.
Wicked funky remix of Trim’s hold the phone by Kivanc. The track is taken from Trim’s mixtape Ghostwriter VS Autotune, which is available to buy from itunes. SKANK!
Seems like nothing can stop young Lapalux right now, the latest signing to Flying Lotus‘s Brainfeeder, the kid just keeps churning out mad dope remixes. Warped, dreamy, electronic goodies. Listen to his remix of Mirrors ‘Fear of Drowning’ below, and head here to download his remix of AlunaGeorge (Super Recordings) for free via XLR8R.
Remix of David’s Lyre by Manchester producer D/R/U/G/S. For free. If you like, I suggest you follow his soundcloud as he’s a hard one to find by googling that name.
Hope everyone has enjoyed thier weekend. Thanks to all who reached our party on Friday, and everyone who played. We’ll be back towards the end of October.
Went to the Four Tet Fabriclive album launch last Friday. The line-up was spectacular (Four Tet, Caribou, Jacques Greene, Hessle Audio takeover in Room 2, Lone, Lunice, Eglo takeover in Room 3, etc etc). Highlights for me were Lunice bringing the thugged out energy to a packed out Room 3, and the track below that ended Ben UFO‘s set in Room 2.
Sadly for us, it looks like the track’s not being released. Only a few lucky DJs (Ben UFO, Jackmaster, Skream…) have a copy of Addison Groove‘s remix of the motown classic Jimmy Mack by Martha & The Vandellas. The only clip I can find is this youtube upload, but I had to share:
