Given the beef existing between the four artists here, and the date when the track was ripped from radio (somewhere near the end of October), this is an impressive achievement by producer Steel Banglez to get the track together. Sick production, and every MC brings thier A game bars to the track. PROBLEM.

What do you do if the emcee you’ve been creating an album with, goes ahead and leaks that album? Well, if you’re Jay Weathers, you destroy and rebuild. Chill Out Zone Too features the producer working with the likes of English Frank, Margs, Fumin, Hot Property, ItsNate and of course, Wiley.
Here, Weathers explains how things got to this point…
Workrate: With his album 100% Publishing less than a month old, and another rumoured to be close to completion, Wiley has teamed up with G-Unit’s DJ Whoo Kid to drop the next in Whoo Kid’s UK mixtape series. Weirdly, it’s hosted by Ashley Cole (!?) and Jason Statham makes an appearance (!!?).
WOW. This is the kind of beat that starts fights on the dancefloor. Big Up EL-B. This is the VIP with Eskiboy touching mic, I hope someone does a 20 minute version with all the top MC’s going in, Stageshowstyle.
New tune from Wiley, produced by the almighty ZDot.. Scarper
And I kind of regret not posting this when it came out, Wiley spitting over the Radio Kid instrumental (production by Wiley, echoing that awesome Terror Danjah feel, no doubt influenced by Terror’s Zumpi Hunter instrumental)
Speaking of Terror Danjah Zumpi Hunter, he did a great refix really recently, which I also regret not posting, below:
While) I think Numbers In Action is great, and I understand what he’s trying to do with Seduction – even if it’s not my cup of tea, of the three tracks Wiley’s putting out at the moment, If I Could is my favourite. As soon as the first few beats drop in, you can hear that classic Eski soundboard, albeit slowed down. There’s a reflective quality to the track, both in music and lyrics, that reminds me of his Treddin’ On Thin Ice days. Video shot on location in Kingston.
Check out Japan based American producer BD1982, part of Starkey’s Seclusiasis family. His VHS Nite EP has just been released, sounding like a future, out-of-space take on Wiley‘s timeless eski-sounds, with the likes of Ikonika & Optimum, Starkey, andSlackk on remix duties. You can hear it below.
Free download of ‘The Wave Chamber’ here (via Fact)
Other grear MCs on the mixtape include Trim, Wretch32 and Scrufizzer.
…And it also features for the first time on a track (to my knowledge anyway) one of my personally most anticipated grime MCs of 2011, Elro (check his warmup session on SBTV out here – wait till Wiley’s Gangsters instrumental drops – trust me, it’s good)
To download the mixtape, get the Skinner Scanner app here, then go to your local and scan a tin of Heinz Baked Beanz!
